One invoice for all creators: the service fee and invoice explained

When you book through creatordeal, you get the invoice from creatordeal, not from each creator separately. It lists the price of the work, the service fee and VAT – for businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT ID under the reverse charge procedure.

The problem with lots of separate invoices

If you book several creators directly, at best you get several invoices in different formats; at worst you don't get a usable one at all. Some creators are small businesses exempt from VAT, others aren't, some are based abroad, and a few have never written an invoice. For your accounting team, that means follow-up questions, corrections and a lot of back-and-forth. On top of that come individual bank transfers to people whose payment details first have to be collected. The more creators involved in a campaign, the bigger this effort gets – and the greater the risk that a receipt is missing at year-end.

One invoice for all creators: how it works on creatordeal

For a booking through creatordeal, creatordeal is your contracting party: creatordeal buys the service from the creator and sells it to you in its own name. That's why you get the invoice from creatordeal in Austria. If you book several creators together in one campaign, that's one checkout and one combined invoice for the whole campaign. One invoice is created per payment; an add-on or a refund therefore gets its own document. You'll find all invoices and credit notes as PDFs in your account at any time. The creators, in turn, settle with creatordeal. So you don't have to collect separate invoices, chase receipts or manage creators' payment details.

What's on the invoice

The invoice lists each item separately. The creator's price is a net amount. Usage rights beyond organic use appear as separate line items with their surcharge. Then comes the creatordeal service fee, and VAT on both together based on your billing address. You see all lines in the cart and once more before you pay, so nothing new shows up on the invoice. The current service fee rates are on the pricing page. The invoice can also carry the name of the campaign.

Reverse charge for EU businesses

For businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT ID, creatordeal invoices under the reverse charge procedure. The number is checked live against the EU system at checkout; if it's valid, the reverse charge is applied automatically. Agencies can set up clients as separate billing addresses and book in the name of and with the authorization of the client; creatordeal's contracting party is then the client, and the invoice is made out to them with their VAT ID. You can pay by credit card or bank transfer; payment terms are enabled for some accounts. Some creators offer a deposit – in that case there's a separate invoice for the balance.

What the service fee covers

The service fee is the price for handling the transaction through the platform. It covers search with open prices and stats, the order chat, payment protection – where the money stays with creatordeal until you approve or the review period expires – the defined process for complaints, and the single invoice instead of many separate receipts. Searching, filtering and sending requests are free; the service fee applies only when a booking goes through. Creators, in turn, pay a commission on their payout, which is shown to them on a credit note.

For your records, all documents for your bookings are available as PDFs in your account at any time, so you can pass them on.
