Influencer marketing software for agencies: from creator CRM to invoice

Many agencies keep creators in a spreadsheet, briefs in their inbox and billing in a third program. Influencer marketing software brings it all together: creator contacts, campaigns, approvals and records in one place.

Why spreadsheets and inboxes hit their limits

As long as an agency runs only a few campaigns at a time, a well-kept spreadsheet is enough. With more clients and creators, it gets messy: who has said yes, where is the latest draft, which usage rights were agreed, has the invoice gone out yet? The answers are scattered across emails, messengers and file folders. When there’s a dispute, the proof is often missing, and when someone leaves the team, knowledge gets lost. Software pays off when searching for information takes more time than the actual work with creators and clients.

What an influencer marketing tool should do

A useful influencer marketing tool for agencies covers the whole workflow. That includes: searching and comparing creators, ideally with verifiable numbers; collecting candidates and aligning with clients; keeping briefs and messages per order; reviewing deliveries, requesting changes and approving; seeing the status of every creator in a campaign at a glance; and matching invoices and records to the right client. A permissions system for the team matters too, as does the question of where the data is stored. The less you have to copy between programs, the less gets lost.

Creator CRM: relationships, not a contact list

A creator CRM is more than an address list. It records which creators an agency has already worked with, how reliably they delivered, which prices applied and who is a fit for which clients. On creatordeal, several building blocks take care of this: with “Connect,” an agency and a creator link up on both sides, and the connection can be withdrawn at any time. Wishlists collect candidates, can be shared with colleagues or clients via a link and requested together with one click. Recurring work is recorded as a collaboration and managed in one place.

Campaigns and billing for clients

With agency access, an agency sets up its clients as billing addresses and chooses who it is booking for with every booking. Several creators from one request are grouped into a named campaign; the overview shows for each creator whether they have accepted, delivered, been approved or are still open. Questions go through the order chat and stay part of the record. The agency books in the name of and with the authorization of its client; creatordeal’s contracting party is then the client, and the invoice is made out to them. Payment for all accepted creators happens in one step. The money stays with creatordeal until approval or until the review period expires — the agency doesn’t carry the risk of non-delivery alone.

creatordeal Enterprise: the tool with your own billing

For agencies and large clients who want to use creatordeal as their own tool, there is creatordeal Enterprise, available on request. Here the platform runs the workflow, not the payment: the agency bills its clients and creators itself, brings its own terms and works in its own currency. On top of that come your own creator roster made up of connected creators, team and company with roles, a client link that lets clients see their campaign without logging in, and an export of numbers and records. An API for your own systems is in the works but not yet available.

How to choose the right software

Before you decide on a tool, write down your own workflow once: from the first client inquiry to the last invoice. Mark where information gets copied, searched for or lost today. Then check which of those points a piece of software really takes over — and which it just moves somewhere else. Ask about where the data is stored, team permissions, export and what happens to your data if you switch. And test with a real, small campaign instead of a demo. Only day-to-day use shows whether the tool actually takes work off your plate.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Key answers at a glance. Everything else is in the guides and in the FAQ.

What is an influencer marketing tool?

Software that brings the search, selection, brief, approval and billing of creator collaborations together in one place. For agencies, it also assigns work to multiple clients.

What is a creator CRM?

An overview of an agency’s or brand’s relationships with creators: contacts, past orders, prices and fit for specific clients. On creatordeal, Connect, wishlists and collaborations cover this.

Can I book for multiple clients on creatordeal?

Yes, with agency access. Each client is set up as a billing address, the agency books in the client’s name and with their authorization, and bookings can be viewed grouped by client.

Is there an API for our own systems?

Not yet. An API for creatordeal Enterprise is in the works. Enterprise already includes an export of a campaign’s numbers and records.

How much does creatordeal Enterprise cost?

The price depends on the scope and is provided on request. Regular agency access itself is free.
