Influencer marketing as a team: roles, budget approval and locations
As soon as more than one person books creators, you need rules: who can send requests, who can pay, who sees which campaigns? A brand account with roles and payment approval prevents duplicate requests and budget surprises.
Typical problems when a team books without rules
In many companies, influencer marketing starts with one person and a personal login. When more colleagues join, friction sets in quickly: two people request the same creator independently, invoices end up in the wrong place, nobody knows how much of the budget is already committed, and when someone goes on vacation or changes jobs, ongoing agreements suddenly can't be found. On top of that, the brand comes across inconsistently when everyone describes it differently. These problems can be solved with a few clear rules – ideally built right into the tool rather than written in a process document nobody reads.
Roles on an influencer marketing team
A simple split has proven itself. One person is responsible for the brand, the team and permissions and decides who gets to work on it. Other people search for creators, write briefs, handle communication and review deliveries. Who is allowed to pay is a separate question: often it's the head of marketing or accounting, not the person writing the brief. On larger teams, there's also the question of who should see which campaigns – all of them or only their own. Write this setup down once before you map it in the tool; that way it's easy to follow for new colleagues, too.
Budget approval: separate preparing from paying
The most important budget rule is: whoever books doesn't have to be allowed to pay. On creatordeal, team members prepare bookings, send requests and negotiate with creators; only people with payment permission can pay. If someone lacks that permission, they request payment approval, and the authorized person decides. That keeps the budget under control without stalling the work with creators. Invoices go through the company behind the brand, and campaigns can be viewed either as your own overview or as a team overview, each showing who's handling it.
The brand account on creatordeal
In your profile, you set up the company and brand once: logo, tagline and industry are then consistent for everyone. You add team members with their name and email address; they receive an access link and set their own password. Alternatively, you register your company's email domain: anyone who signs up with it lands on a waitlist and sees nothing until an admin accepts them. The admin role can be transferred. Team members see what you allow – all campaigns or only their own. How large a team can be is listed per plan on the pricing page.
Multiple locations and country managers
Companies operating in several countries or regions can set up locations in the brand account – each with its own website, the local languages and a headquarters. Each member can be assigned to a location, and a country manager runs exactly that location. An email domain can be assigned to a location; its country manager then decides on new sign-ups, while the headquarters admin continues to see everything. On the public brand page, the locations appear with their open collaborations. If you don't set up locations, everything works as usual.
Choosing together: saved lists and campaigns
Selecting creators is often the slowest step for a team, because many people want a say. Saved lists help: one person collects candidates, shares the list via link and decides whether others can only view or also add creators. The link can be regenerated or turned off. Once the selection is made, you request everyone on the list at once. Several creators in one request belong to one campaign, which brings together the time frame, creators, spending and delivered content – in the same place for everyone on the team.
Frequently asked.
Key answers at a glance. Everything else is in the guides and in the FAQ.
How do I organize influencer marketing with several people?
With clear roles: one person responsible for the brand and permissions, team members for search, briefs and approval, and a separate payment permission for budget approval. On creatordeal, the brand account maps these roles.
Can I separate budget approval within the team?
Yes. On creatordeal, team members prepare bookings and request payment approval; only people with payment permission can pay.
How do multiple locations work together?
In the brand account, you can set up locations and assign members to them. A country manager runs their location, and the headquarters admin still sees everything.
Are new colleagues added to the team automatically?
No. Anyone who signs up with the company domain waits for approval from an admin and sees nothing until then.
How many people can be on a team?
That depends on the plan. Team sizes are listed on the pricing page.
Large team, many locations?
For companies and agencies with special requirements, there's creatordeal Enterprise – pricing depends on the scope.
